(this makes an excellent starter)

Ingredients: 12 tiger prawns (king prawns will also do, and I usually just use however many are in the packet, usually more than 12), 3 cloves garlic, crushed, zest and juice of half a lemon, 110 ml olive oil, salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Method: mix together the garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper in a bowl. Put the prawns in the bowl and leave in the fridge for .. well as long as possible really, 1 hour minimum though. pre-heat the grill, line a grill pan with tinfoil and place the prawns on the foil, pour over the marinade and grill for approx 6 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time. Put the prawns into bowls, and pour the sauce over the top. serve with french bread (this is good for dipping in the remaining sauce when you've eaten the prawns), serves two people
